Choose with confidence
Sandstone or porcelain?
The right choice depends on whether you value natural variation or maximum consistency and low maintenance.
Natural sandstone
Best for natural character and a more traditional stone feel.
- Every slab has unique colour and texture
- Naturally riven, tactile surface
- Hand-cut edge character
- Sealing is optional but can aid stain protection
Outdoor porcelain
Best for a controlled appearance and simpler routine care.
- More consistent colour and dimensions
- Low water absorption and frost resistance
- Usually does not need sealing
- Rectified edges for cleaner joint lines

FAQ
Will every slab look exactly the same?
Porcelain is manufactured for a consistent finish, but colour and surface detail can still vary slightly between production batches. Order enough material for the complete project.
How much extra should I order?
The calculator includes 10% wastage by default. Confirm the final amount with your installer for complex layouts.
